The Digital Brian
When I was a kid our milkman was called Brian. He was a nice bloke, kicked a ball around with us, humored us when when we hung off the back of his float on our bikes and when we tampered with the notes left out for him - you know the sort of thing.
Milkmen have long since gone in most parts with the supermarket shopping behaviour we've all adopted over the last thirty years or so.
But I think they are making a comeback.
I don't have a big insight into why that is - but we've just signed up to a new milk delivery service in our area. You email them the night before and the 'digital' Brian drops them off before we get up.
I'm sure it'll be a lot harder for my children to mess with this milkman - and they won't benefit from his cheerful insights into life - but it's a start.
this month.
