The Kids Are Alright!

Celebrity worship and Reality TV have defined popular culture over the past decade with shows like Big Brother, Britian’s Got Talent and X Factor but do the next generation of young people need Simon Cowell or Big Brother to make them famous when the internet gives them all the tools they need to create, promote and broadcast their own shows on the channel where the target audience spends most of their time, talking and promoting the things they find cool.

Take teenager Charlie McDonnell, over 23 million video views on his You Tube Channel “Charlie is so cool like!” http://www.youtube.com/user/charlieissocoollike Perhaps the end is near for Simon “I ripped the soul out of the UK music industry” Cowell. However I wouldn’t be surprised if Max Clifford isn’t searching Google right now for his next new victim.
